TasteID
Executive briefOctober 2026

One tool call for
personal intelligence.

Your data is locked in the apps you love. TasteID is building one account for what you listen to, watch, and buy.

People permission their data. Industries, apps and agents pay to ask it questions. People get a share.

Own. Permission. Earn.The idea

Ground decisions in
collective behavior.

Personal agents are here. They can choose, buy, and plan for us. Our bet: people should be able to bring their preferences and history to any agent they choose, while businesses learn from patterns across consenting audiences.

TasteID starts with full account histories. We interpret behavior and enrich the things people interact with. In music, we pool track identities into a shared catalog and analyze the audio once for reuse across listeners. Personal histories connect to a reusable layer of industry knowledge.

The ambition is a graph connecting people, preferences, and the things they listen to, watch, and buy. A query about one person gives an agent context. A query across people gives an industry audience intelligence.

Apps & agents

“What fits this person?”

Personal intelligence, grounded in the person’s preferences and behavior.

Industries

“Which audience groups will connect with this release?”

Aggregate intelligence for what businesses make, market and recommend.

The same tool call extends from personal intelligence to collective behavior. The next question: how do the people behind each answer get their share?

x402 moves the money.
HCP would get people their share.

The Human Compensation Protocol is the proposed economic layer beneath that graph: link an authorized query to its contributors, verify the allocation, and make the people’s share payable. The goal is for an independent application to check the same payment obligation as TasteID.

1Permission

Authorize.

Check the buyer, purpose, data scope and active permission. Quote the approved request. The graph and query execution stay off-chain.

2Contribution

Prove.

Record a private contribution trace. A zero-knowledge proof would bind it to committed inputs and the declared allocation rule, without exposing the histories.

3Compensation

Pay.

x402 funds the request. A proposed settleQuery contract verifies the proof and enforces the allocation. Small earnings can accrue before payout.

Verifiable allocation

Why crypto: programmable money can settle a shared payment obligation; a common verifier can check the allocation across operators. ZK proofs would keep private inputs out of that verification. The hard work is binding the actual query, its authorized inputs, and its payment to the same verifiable record.

Proposed rails: x402 for buyer payments; USDC on Base for settlement. The circuit and allocation policy remain design work. Proof of recorded contribution does not establish a person’s causal value to an answer.

A useful personal product.
A paid intelligence network.

Our thesis: useful personal experiences bring people in. More connected histories deepen the questions businesses can ask. Paid use gives people a reason to keep contributing. Music is the first vertical; the larger network connects permissioned knowledge across industries.

TasteID builds the capture and intelligence stack, serves paid queries, and retains a platform fee. People receive a share. Shared object knowledge can be reused across profiles and answers; personal histories remain subject to the person’s permission.

HCP is the proposed open interface for contribution receipts and settlement across applications. Long term, a query could span permissioned graphs run by different operators, each accounting for its contributors. TasteID is the first application and operator. The ambition is a network in which human knowledge is useful to machines and paid use creates income for its contributors.

Product live.
CASA passed.

TasteID automates user-authorized full-history exports and turns raw activity into usable profiles of people’s preferences and behavior. Audio ML, recommendations and compatibility are live. Google’s CASA security assessment is passed.

Music is the first market. TrackID is designed to help labels and distributors find audience groups before a release. Create Music Group’s pilot LOI requires a cohort of about 10,000 exports to activate. Selling through distributors reaches many releases through one buyer.

We are also in integration discussions with Blockchain.com.

Live: capture, enrichment and personal intelligence. Next: scoped buyer access, paid audience queries and user payouts. Protocol research: contribution proofs and verifiable settlement.
